role play

i am laughing so hard right now! ella kate and josiah are downstairs playing "bill and katie". i am not sure what 'bill' has done, but 'katie' is hollering at him and giving him the 3rd degree about something:) i go down there and see miley playing with them, so i ask her what her name is. she tells me, "sissy". (well with her 's' lisp, she really said, "thithy!" :)

19 weeks and we are having another....

GIRL:) i have never done one of these pregnancy surveys before, so i thought that i would give it a try:

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 19 Weeks
Size of baby: size of an apple!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: gained 6 lbs
Maternity Clothes: i can still wear my old jeans as long as i don't button them:) but i really need to invest in some good maternity jeans. all of our other babies were summer babies and i never really needed jeans..

Gender: sugar and spice and everything nice!!

Movement: if i am laying on my back, i feel her move a lot! bill felt her move for the first time last week:) still super exciting the 4th time around!!
Sleep: i am not as sleepy during the day as i have been, and i am sleeping GREAT at night:)
What I miss: hmm.. i miss being able to go places and walk around without getting so winded. i had to take several rests(squats) throughout toys r us the other night while christmas shopping.

Cravings: orange juice, pizza (specifically thin crust pepperoni from pizza hut!)
Symptoms: i have had some pretty bad cramping in my lower abdomen due to a lot of different things, but mainly b/c this is our 4th baby in 4 years and my body is just plain tired:)
Best Moment this week: finding out the sex!! although we were convinced it was a boy, we are super excited about another sweet, healthy girl and i am ready to start planning!!

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

well, atleast it is at the davis house:)

we put up our tree and other decorations last night and the babies LOVED every minute of it!! my grandma had given us several different manger scenes, so josiah, miley and ella kate could each go off to a corner and play with baby jesus all by themselves:)

ella kate decided to have santa claus and some snowmen watching her manger scene:)miley LOVED this little people nativity and cried when i wouldn't let her take baby jesus to bed with her:)

i love their stockings:)

ta-da! we had to do some rearranging when the babies went to bed.. but here is the finished product:)

they really love each other!

i am watching my niece, eve this morning and all 4 of the babies are playing downstairs with puzzles. i wasn't in the room when i heard this from josiah:

jos:"no, no baby eve. we don't take stuff from L-Kate. give it back to her and say you're sorry!"

no response from eve...

jos: "bay. bee. eve! i talkin' you! you need give it back to L-Kate wight now!"

still no response from eve..

jos(LOUDER): "eve dabis! (davis.. our last name) you not being sweet wight now!"

i don't think eve ever really responded, but josiah finally got over it and they are all playing together again:) it made me laugh so hard, because josiah, miley and ella kate can fight and bicker like cats and dogs, but if someone else from the "outside" is mean or unfair to one of them, the other one ALWAYS gets defensive and protective:)

when i grow up..

ella kate and josiah had a firefighter and his fire truck come and visit their school the other day. they were super excited and were trying tell me all about it when i picked them up, so i asked them if they wanted to be firefighters when they grew up. josiah smiled and said, "ohhhh! yes ma'am! i'mma be a fire-fire!!" ella kate then told me, "mom.. we have to wait and see what God wants us to be. but.... i really think that He wants me to be a mermaid... yeah... i think i'mma be a mermaid like ariel when i grow up!" the conversation then turned to me. ella kate asked me what i want to be when i grow up. i told her that i was probably just gonna be a mommy and a wife. wrong answer for her. she looked at me with disgust and said, "no, momma! what are you REALLY gonna be???" so i gave in and shared with her my childhood dream of wanting to be a snow cone lady. she liked that idea much better:)

look who is ready for christmas already:)

we had so much fun decorating gingerbread houses this year. all 3 of them were completely able to do it by themselves and they all were so proud of their masterpieces:)
look at this cute face:) she is so funny! she LOVES looking through the pictures from disney world and absolutely LOVES the princesses. she says their names so cute, too!

boys.. or atleast josiah

since i never had a brother growing up, i didn't really know what to expect having baby boy. well, josiah is now 3 years old and is as cute as he can be... however he is silly. and gross. he is infatuated with TT-ing outside "in da gwass." and did i mention that TWICE at disney world, he dropped trow and peed at the park. in front of people. it was quite embarrassing! we look over while taking a break in the shade, and see this cute, white, little hiney over by a grassy patch and then realize that this cute little hiney was with us!! it was josiah who peed in public at disney world. two different times. oh my..he is also so silly. it never fails, that while we are in the car he will look at ella kate and say, "hey poopy! bahahahahahahahahaha!!" he thinks words like poopy, dooty diaper (dirty), boogie, and TT are all hilarious and he dies laughing after he says them. i don't get it. neither does ella kate:) she always just looks back at him with a blank stare like he is completely immature:)

a little confidence is a good thing... right?

ella kate picked out her outfit for preschool the other morning. she chose a cute, (but faded) hand-me-down outfit, one lavender sock, one pink sock and her light up shoes:) she came upstairs to our full-length mirror and just stood there checking herself out. after a few seconds, she said, "momma, i look soooooooooooooooo CUTE!!" she smiled at her reflection one last time and satisfyingly walked away:)
